Join The Tersus Team as a Fire Risk Assessor with Tier 2 experience
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year with car allowance
Location: The ideal person will be located Milton Keynes/Northampton, but we are also open to nearby locations if you are willing to travel.
We are passionate about promoting safety and compliance in a variety of environments, and we are looking for someone with your expertise to help us do just that. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference, conducting essential fire safety risk assessments. Ideally you will be base in London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent or Surrey. The role is paying up to £50,000 plus car allowance.

Responsibilities
- Conduct fire safety risk assessments in line with the latest regulations
- Produce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards compliance
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence
- Stay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best available
- Collaborate with team members to enhance our services and share knowledge
What We’re Looking For
- A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety
- Registered with the IFSM, Tier 2 or similar competency scheme
- At least 2 years experience within the fire industry
- Experience with compartmentation and/or door inspections desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments
- Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation
- Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset that helps you identify potential hazards swiftly
- A valid driving license, as this role involves visiting various sites
- Enthusiasm for continual learning and professional growth
