We are working with a hugely impactful and rapidly scaling philanthropic foundation - newly launched and looking for their first Communications lead to join the team. This is initially a FTC for 12 months with the possibility to extend - and initially for 3 or 4 days per week, again with the possibility of increasing this.

The foundation aims to improve the lives of children and young adults - locally in the UK and globally, and has already seen impressive results as they celebrate their first year. They are an impressive team, working together to drive social change, and inspire the leaders and creators of tomorrow.

They are looking for an ambitious Communications and Community lead to join the team - working with the trustees and Executive Director to set and oversee the communications strategy. Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing the 12 month communications plan - including narratives, audience profiling, strategic objectives and key tactics / platforms
  • Leading on the first major launch event
  • Working with external support and partners / contractors on the delivery of the first impact report and revamped website
  • Supporting partners and grantees on adhoc press and communications enquiries

They are looking for a candidate with experience in and a passion for the philanthropic space - a keen storyteller who can bring to life the story and work of the foundation and, crucially, the grantees. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience when it comes to leading communications programmes - and ideally project management of events / convenings. Some experience in the non-profit, philanthropic and young advocacy sectors would be preferable.
