We are working with a fast-growing boutique communications consultancy, looking to strengthen their digital team currently. They partner with companies and brands across a range of sectors including financial services and fintech – and they are looking for a Digital and Social Media Manager to join the team on a FTC – initially for 12 months with a view to hopefully extending this into a permanent role.
The agency advises a variety of organisations – from start-ups to global businesses – on communications strategies, PR and engagement plans – and protecting their reputations through crisis management. Their work spans broader marketing, including paid digital marketing, social media and visual content creation. Clients are generally purpose-led technology focused businesses – in areas including fintech and innovation.
The role:
Reporting into the Digital Director, this Digital and Social Media Manager will lead the planning, creation and delivery of high-impact social and digital campaigns across a mix of B2B and B2C clients. This is a hands-on role combining strategy, content creation and design. You’ll help create both written and visual content across digital, social, media and client materials. This is not a specialist design role; they are looking for experience when it comes to crafting polished assets, and working with third party suppliers for more complex creative work where needed. The role is hybrid – 2 days per week in the Central London office, the rest of the week from home.
They are looking for:
- 2-4 years’ experience in social media/digital
- Excellent copywriting skills for both B2B and B2C audiences
- Ideally some experience in the fintech / financial services sectors
- Strong organisational skills
- Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) or similar tools
- Comfortable using social listening tools (Brandwatch or similar is desirable)
- Understanding of SEO and GEO principles and techniques
- Video editing skills (basic animation skills would be a bonus)
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and proactive
Key Responsibilities:
- Social & Digital Strategy
- Develop and execute multi-channel social media strategies (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube)
- Tailor approaches for both B2B (thought leadership, lead gen) and B2C (engagement, awareness)
- Advise on SEO and GEO best practice
- Conduct social listening to inform campaigns
- Translate client objectives into clear content plans and campaign frameworks
- Identify opportunities to integrate PR, social and influencer activity
- Content Creation & Management
- Plan and manage monthly content calendars across multiple clients
- Write engaging copy tailored to platform, audience and tone of voice
- Create reactive and real-time content aligned to news, trends and cultural moments
- Manage publishing, scheduling and community engagement
- Design high-quality social media assets (static and motion), including:
- LinkedIn carousels and infographics
- Instagram posts, Reels and Stories
- TikTok video assets
- Paid social creatives
- Maintain visual consistency with client brand guidelines while elevating creative quality
- Create short-form video content, including editing, captions and basic motion graphics
- Support campaign concepts with visually compelling, platform-first creative
- Reporting & Optimisation
- Track and analyse performance across social and digital channels, using tools such as GA4, LinkedIn campaign manager and Meta platforms
- Produce clear, insight-led reports with actionable recommendations
- Use data to continually refine content and improve results
- Client Management & Collaboration
- Act as a day-to-day contact for digital and social workstreams
- Present ideas, content and results confidently to clients
- Collaborate closely with PR, content and design teams
