Overview
Job Title: Arborist Groundsman, Machine Operator, Tree Surgeon, Excavator Operator and Tractor Operator.
Location: Alton, Hampshire
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time (40 hours per week). Mostly night work with some day work.
Salary: GBP 30,000 – GBP 50,000 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience. Salary details discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
- Cyclical activities including grass cutting using tractors with front and side arm flails, remote control bank mowers, ride-on mowers, and brush cutters.
- Tree and hedge work, hazardous tree removal, ADB, sign and CCTV clearance, and hedgerow maintenance or reduction outside of the bird nesting season. Mixture of methods using mechanical Arb, MEWP and climbing.
- De-vegetation of ditches or other infrastructures, new structures and roads.
- Planting.
- Other ad-hoc tasks that help our clients.
Requirements and Qualifications
Staff at all levels should have a sound understanding of current industry best practice in climbing and arboriculture, together with some knowledge of tree disease and defects.
You do NOT need to be experienced in highways, although it would be beneficial.
You should have a positive attitude towards Health & Safety regulations and the nature of the work requires candidates to hold the relevant industry qualifications together with a full Driving Licence.
Experience
- Arb Groundsman: 1 year (preferred)
- Tree Surgeon / Climber: 1 year (preferred)
