Company Description: At Marloe Watch Company, we believe in doing things properly. From designing and assembling beautiful mechanical watches to telling authentic stories behind every product, we’re proud to be a small growing business driven by integrity, purpose and craftsmanship. As we grow, we're looking for someone who shares our values to take on our Operations Manager role.
Role Description: We’re seeking a Fulfilment Manager to join us on site in Sonning Common. This is a hands-on role with primary responsibility for all order fulfilment, ensuring watches are packed and shipped accurately and on time. Alongside this, the role encompasses after sales support and inventory management, and plays a key part in delivering the exceptional customer experience for which we’re known. This is a full-time, permanent position, based at our offices Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- As a global business part of your job will be to process, pack and manage our shipments – getting our watches onto the wrists of customers all over the world.
- As the first point of contact, you’ll provide impeccable customer service by email, phone and in person.
- Mechanical watches are living mechanisms and sometimes require repair or servicing, and you’ll be working with our in-house workshop to ensure our customers’ watches keep accurate time and provide enjoyment for years to come.
- You’ll be contributing to the exciting journey from concept through to design and launch for our future models and collections from helping to choose colour palettes to developing quality website content.
- With several collections in the portfolio, it’s vital to track stock levels accurately – you will oversee this and lead the continuous improvement of stock control processes.
- As a fast-growing business, there’s always plenty to do so you will support the team in a wide range of activities, including PR launch events, product photoshoots and general running of the business.
What we’re looking for:
- Our customers mean everything to us, so we take great pride in providing a personal service that’s beyond expectation. You will have exceptional customer service skills as well as excellent written and spoken English.
- We would be nothing without our products, so we’re looking for someone who will take as much care with them as we do – perfectionists welcome.
- We’re a small company, so sometimes it’s all hands-on-deck - you will have an entrepreneurial outlook and willingness to get stuck in, in any way required.
- Whilst watchmaking is an industry with great history, we’re very much a modern company. You will be fluent in Mac OS and Microsoft Office, and be able to quickly get to grips with our ecommerce platforms.
- You'll be a self-starter who can be trusted to work independently but also has scope to develop with our business to become a future manager of their own team.
- Our office is located in a remote area, so a full driving licence and daily access to a car is essential.
- You don’t need to be a watchmaker, an engineer or a designer to work for us – what you do need is curiosity, some creative flair and a strong determination to succeed.
Benefits:
- We expect dedication and a strong work ethic, and offer a salary to reflect this.
- Hard work is vital to our success, and we expect you to contribute to our business growth, so we offer an annual bonus based on results and performance.
- We know there’s more to life than work, so encourage a healthy work/life balance with flexible working hours.
- Similarly, we know how important time off can be, so offer 25 days annual holiday.
- We take saving for the future very seriously, and offer an employer contribution pension scheme.
- We take genuine pride and enjoyment from wearing the watches we create – you will benefit from a watch of your choice each year.
- We operate from a rural office location with a relaxed atmosphere – more jeans and jumpers than suits and ties.
- You will have the prospect of helping to unleash the potential of this exciting start-up.
