Manager – Regional Sales & Marketing (Nickel – Europe)

Job Description

This role will support our Nickel business.

Support the execution of the regional sales strategy for Europe and North America, including maximizing the value chain from mines to customers for equity products and developing opportunities to provide material solutions to stakeholders. This role will also focus on creating new customer sales and marketing opportunities to maximize the sustainable value of the regional sales book within risk and governance policies.

Provide key insights into local and regional markets, suppliers, customers, and competitors across the sales and trading book.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement the near to medium-term sales strategy for the region.
  • Support the Marketing & Sales Director in developing the global sales strategy and setting sales targets and plans.
  • Deliver the budgeted sales volume, netback performance / P&L, and working capital targets.
  • Optimize the value of the sales book during customer negotiations.
  • Understand customer-specific value-in-use of nickel products and trade-offs to create tailored sales/marketing solutions.

Contract Execution

  • Manage existing customer accounts and develop long-term relationships.
  • Coordinate with sales operations to ensure excellent service and quick resolution of customer queries.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and service issues.

Business Development

  • Develop new customer relationships and sales opportunities.
  • Identify and implement new commercial opportunities such as logistics optimization and third-party sourcing.

Compliance

  • Adhere to all marketing policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
  • Comply with security and operational standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in material science, metallurgy, or engineering, or advanced qualifications in related fields.
  • At least 5 years of marketing/trading experience in Nickel and/or related products targeting stainless and specialty steel segments.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and developments in nickel, molybdenum, chrome, stainless steel, etc.
  • Understanding of nickel and stainless steel processing technologies.
  • Good collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
