Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the firm's engagement strategy with UK, EU and European regulatory authorities, including ongoing dialogue with policymakers and supervisors.
- Monitoring, analysing and responding to legislative and regulatory developments affecting derivatives and financial markets across Europe.
- Advising senior leadership on policy risks, regulatory change and strategic positioning in response to proposed reforms.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with government bodies, regulators, industry associations and key market stakeholders.
- Representing the firm externally through speaking engagements, industry forums, consultation responses and policy publications.
Your experience will include:
- Extensive experience working within European and UK public policy or regulatory environments, with a strong understanding of how policy is formed and implemented.
- Proven knowledge of financial markets regulation, including frameworks such as EMIR, MiFID II/MiFIR and related UK regimes.
- Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with regulators, central banks and supervisory authorities across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills, with experience translating complex regulations into clear strategic advice.
- A track record of collaborative working, stakeholder management and delivering policy outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
