Our client, a global commodity trading firm, is looking for a Junior Financial Controller to join their London-based team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, identifying key trends and providing actionable insights.
- Uploading financial data accurately and on time, ensuring consistency across entities and periods.
- Conducting intercompany reconciliations, supporting the integrity of consolidated group financial statements.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process by collecting and analysing inputs from multiple departments.
- Contributing to monthly financial reporting packs, including variance analysis and financial re-forecasting.
You will need to have the following experience:
- Actively pursuing a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Experience of financial systems, in particular HFM and NetSuite.
- Knowledge of IFRS, with particular exposure to IAS 2, IFRS 9, and IFRS 16.
- Experience in commodity trading or shipping is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving and reporting.
