A great opportunity for a Senior Operations Director to join a growing Global Financial Services Firm. We are an established and growing Global Multi-Asset Broker Dealer with a strong international footprint across the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia. We provide institutional clients with access to global markets across multiple asset classes.

We are seeking an exceptional Global Head of Operations from an Equities background to lead, modernise and scale our international operations function. This is a strategic and execution-focused leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, technology transformation, regulatory robustness, and scalable infrastructure across all regions.

The successful candidate will be commercially aware, have in depth Equities experience, be technologically forward-thinking, culturally intelligent, and highly driven. They will understand the critical role of automation, data, and AI in streamlining processes, reducing operational risk, and improving client experience. This role can be based in London or Dubai and will report directly to senior executive leadership.

Role Purpose

To design, lead and optimise global operations across all jurisdictions, ensuring:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a Global Equity operations strategy aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.
  • Build scalable infrastructure to support multi-asset trading across jurisdictions.
  • Partner with executive leadership to support new product launches, new market entries, and business expansion.
  • Lead operational due diligence for institutional clients and counterparties.

Global Operational Oversight

  • Oversee middle-office and back-office functions across all regions, including:
    • Trade lifecycle management
    • Settlements and clearing
    • Reconciliations
    • Client onboarding and KYC
    • Regulatory reporting
    • Treasury and liquidity operations
  • Ensure consistency of controls and standards across offices while allowing for local regulatory requirements.
  • Manage outsourced providers and clearing relationships where applicable.
  • Champion automation and AI-driven process optimisation across global operations.
  • Work closely with technology teams to:
    • Improve STP (Straight Through Processing) rates
    • Reduce manual touchpoints
    • Enhance reporting and data accuracy
    • Build scalable operational dashboards and analytics
    • Identify and implement workflow automation, intelligent reconciliation tools, and AI-enhanced surveillance/monitoring solutions.
  • Promote a data-led culture, ensuring operational decisions are supported by real-time metrics.

Risk & Regulatory Governance

  • Ensure robust operational risk frameworks across all regions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Compliance and Risk functions.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting processes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Drive continuous review of controls, incident management, and audit readiness.
  • Lead and develop multi-jurisdictional teams across New York, London, Tel Aviv, UAE and Asia.
  • Foster strong cross-cultural collaboration and communication.
  • Create clear KPIs and performance accountability across regions.
  • Build a high-performance, solutions-driven operational culture.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact for senior management, regulators, institutional clients, and counterparties.
  • Work closely with Sales, Trading, Finance, Risk, and Compliance to ensure alignment.
  • Present operational performance metrics to executive committees and boards where required.

Candidate Profile

10–15+ years’ experience within a broker-dealer, investment bank, or multi-asset trading environment. Proven experience leading global operations across multiple jurisdictions.
