MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implementing and supporting the Operational Risk framework.
  • Providing operational risk insights and industry best practices.
  • Acting as a deputy for the Operational Risk Manager.
  • Reviewing and improving policies to enhance risk awareness.
  • Investigating incidents and documenting improvement suggestions.
  • Developing and improving risk controls.
  • Preparing and presenting risk reports.
  • Ensuring system changes align with risk management frameworks.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in operational risk roles, preferably in commodity trading or bunkering.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to handle complex, undefined information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships.
  • Management experience to lead and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of risk control processes and commodity trading operations.
  • IT skills, experience with ETRM systems, and BPMN process mapping.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred: ACA/ACCA/CIMA or FRM/ERP/CFA.
