The Role
We are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers in delivering holistic financial planning solutions. This is a technical, detail-oriented role suited to someone who enjoys working closely with advisers and playing a key part in the client journey.
You will be responsible for producing high-quality suitability reports, conducting research, and ensuring all recommendations are compliant and aligned with client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed suitability reports across pensions, investments, and protection
- Conduct technical research and analysis of financial products and providers
- Assist advisers in developing client recommendations and financial strategies
- Analyse client information including income, assets, liabilities, and risk profiles
- Ensure all work meets FCA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards
- Use Intelligent Office (IO) to maintain accurate client records and workflows
- Liaise with advisers, administrators, and providers to support the end-to-end advice process
- Contribute to cashflow modelling and financial planning where required
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a paraplanning role within an IFA/wealth management firm
- Level 4 Diploma (CII) or equivalent paraplanning qualification (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO)
- Solid understanding of UK financial planning, including pensions, investments, and protection
- Excellent report writing and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience working with HNW clients
- Exposure to cashflow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant, Truth)
- Progress toward Chartered status
