Responsibilities

  • Leading the development and execution of the operational risk strategy across global trading and operational activities
  • Managing and developing an international operational risk team, driving collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Overseeing incident management processes, including investigations, root cause analysis, and lessons learned reporting
  • Developing and maintaining key risk indicators (KRIs), governance reporting, and operational risk metrics for senior management
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to strengthen controls, improve processes, and support risk-aware decision making

Qualifications

  • Strong operational risk experience within commodities trading, marine fuels, energy, or related trading environments
  • Background in risk, audit, compliance, assurance, or internal controls within fast-paced commercial organisations
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience leading teams and driving operational and cultural change across international businesses
  • Strong understanding of operational risk frameworks, governance, and control environments
