The Role - General Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Financial Services team in London. This person will lead in all aspects of the delivery process to meet the needs and objectives of the client, team, and company.

Operations and Delivery

  • Accurately take and interpret a client brief and translate to devise a research strategy and meet timelines.
  • Delivery of assignment research and identification of candidates.
  • Select and pre-screen candidates independently.
  • Deputise for Partners to present candidates on client catch-up calls.
  • Produce pitch documentation and client update reports.
  • Attend shortlist meetings, contributing to discussion by presenting research and findings.
  • Start to build own relationship with client contacts such that they regularly choose to use you as a point of contact.
  • Show aptitude for resolving problems and objections to result in closing candidates.

Business Development

  • Become positioned as a trusted advisor to your network of candidate and client contacts.
  • Take initiative to originate market research to build new team knowledge. Independently act upon the intelligence gained.
  • Set up new, fully qualified live pitch situations for Partners.
  • Attend pitches and new client meetings, supporting the Partners where necessary.
  • Leverage commercial intelligence and use it to add value in the context of client and candidate engagements.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Someone with 3-5 years retained executive search experience.
  • Able to deliver on searches end to end with oversight from a Partner.
  • Someone with experience delivering on searches in commercial or retail banking, working on C-suite level roles.
  • An excellent communicator, both in written work, on the phone, and face-to-face, confident talking to senior executives and communicating with all internal stakeholders.
  • A technologically-savvy problem solver with a commercial mindset who brings fresh ideas to the table.
  • A self-starter, able to get on with the task in hand and proactively seek help when needed.
  • Thorough, with great attention to detail and an ability to adhere to processes.
  • Resilient, adaptable, capable of multitasking, and calm under pressure.
