Business development manager is responsible for sales within the marine and industrials sector.

Selling key services such as Industrial, Confined Space and Tank Cleaning, Marine Engineering, Pump and Component Overhauls and Waste Management primarily to the Marine and Shipping sectors, but also within other relevant identified industries

  • Identify and generate new leads.
  • Qualify leads and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing deals as per assigned targets.
  • Assist in managing growth with existing accounts by uncovering and progressing opportunities to cross sell.
  • Develop and maintain a database of potential customers.
  • Attend networking events, customer events and partaking in raising the profile of the business.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers.
  • Respond promptly to customer interest/enquiries to maintain momentum, leading to closure of sales opportunities.
  • Creation of customer proposals and quotes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work with operational teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery.

Business Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve given targets
  • Collaborate with senior management to align business development plans with company goals.
  • Provide input into marketing strategies, support marketing manager with the creation of marketing deliverables.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Track and report on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of business development strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Follow company processes and procedures.
