About Marley: We’re a friendly, dynamic and growing business looking for a new colleague to join our claims handling team. We’re at the forefront of innovation in the UK Structural Warranty Insurance sector, where we provide claims management and loss adjusting services to insurer clients and our customers who may be experiencing a defect with their home.

We are seeking experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join our team in Bishops Cleeve. This role will involve managing a portfolio of Latent Defect Claims on a delegated authority basis. This will include handling claims valued in excess of £250,000, as well as handling more complex claims that require a greater degree of attention to detail and/or client management experience.

Job Type: Full-time (Mon-Fri).

Skills and Experience required:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience of Claims Handling, ideally in property, motor, liability or Commercial
  • Experience of IT systems including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, and experience of Claims Management Portal Systems. Training on company system will be given.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player who is willing to ask questions to ensure tasks are completed effectively, and willing to assist colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Able to quickly build positive and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Confident working independently under instruction.
  • Able to adapt to new challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree (required), with GCSE English Language grade 5/C or equivalent.
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Insurance (Level 3) (required).
