The Role – Purpose: We’re hiring a Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic and operational partner to the CEO. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments and wants to help scale an early-stage company with real impact.
You’ll lead key internal operations and administrative initiatives—freeing up the CEO and leadership team to focus on product, fundraising, and growth. At the same time, you’ll take an active role in shaping and executing our partnership strategy in close collaboration with the CEO, CMO, and Board Chairman.
This is a London-based hybrid role (3 days per week in our office), with occasional travel to Oxford, RVC, and strategic partners.
What you’ll do – Key Responsibilities:
- Operational & Administrative Ownership: Own internal business operations: benefits setup and management, IT and facilities coordination, vendor onboarding, and office logistics. Develop and streamline core processes across functions to help us scale. Support with internal tools, systems, and knowledge management and ensure accountability. Manage company cadences including leadership meetings, offsites, and facilitate clear internal communications. Prepare board materials, track action items, and coordinate key follow-ups.
- Strategic Partnerships & Cross-Functional Projects: Lead the execution of Marley Health’s partnership strategy in collaboration with the CEO, CMO, and Board Chairman. Identify, engage, and manage relationships with strategic partners across the veterinary, insurance, and research sectors. Coordinate partner onboarding and ensure smooth cross-functional delivery of partnership goals. Conduct market analysis, diligence, and prepare strategic briefing materials for key decisions. Champion and help shape a high-performing, mission-driven, collaborative, and inclusive culture.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications and experience
- Must haves: 4+ years of experience in high-growth startups, healthcare tech, strategy & operations, or a Chief of Staff role. Degree / advanced degree. If coming from a strategy consulting background, you must also have demonstrated hands-on operational experience. Highly structured thinker with exceptional project management skills—able to switch between strategy and execution with ease. Strong communicator with experience preparing investor- or board-level presentations. Confident working independently, managing ambiguity, and making fast, well-informed decisions. A natural collaborator. Deep alignment with Marley Health’s mission and willingness to roll up your sleeves to make it happen.
- Nice to haves: Experience working in or with the veterinary, pet insurance, or broader health tech ecosystem. Exposure to partnerships, business development, or commercial operations. Strong local network in the London startup or healthtech scene. Extensive project management and/or productivity tools. MBA.
