Here at GXO we are looking for a Driver Trainer to join our Greenford team, supporting our Waitrose customer. You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality driver training and coaching, helping improve safety, compliance and performance across our transport operation. Working closely with site and central teams, you’ll ensure drivers meet the highest standards while supporting GXO’s commitment to Safety First and continuous improvement.
This is a full‑time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. The operation runs between 06:00 to 23:00, 7 days per week, so shifts will need to be scheduled within those hours to ensure all driver training and inductions are actioned accordingly.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £39,007.00 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Deliver targeted, high‑impact driver training using collision data, telematics and site insights to improve safety and reduce risk
- Support and develop drivers and Driver Assessors through coaching, mentoring and delivery of structured training programmes
- Analyse performance and telematics data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in driving standards and efficiency
- Work closely with site leadership to create and implement tailored training plans and support collision investigations
- Act as a subject matter expert, promoting best practice and consistent high standards across all GXO transport sites
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Full UK driving licence with no Category B restrictions, with proven experience delivering driver training in a live transport environment
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and turn insights into effective, practical training solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Proven coaching and mentoring capability, with a focus on developing driver performance and confidence
- Highly organised and self‑motivated, with the flexibility to manage a busy, field‑based diary and meet targets
