Marlborough Highways have a fantastic opportunity for a Permitting Officer to join a growing business within a busy department at our North London Office. We require the successful candidate to have prior experience processing and submitting permits.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Raise permit applications based on work descriptions for submission to the Highways Authority.
- Keep all permits and notices updated.
- Ensure works are on track, and request extensions if needed.
- Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to manage road space bookings efficiently.
- Input and update permitting information using Excel and Teams.
- Build and nurture relationships with Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
- Monitor inspections of reinstatement and tackle any challenges with FPN and inspection data.
What We’re Looking For:
- Prior experience in raising permit applications.
- Proven track record in the highways industry.
- Familiarity with the New Roads & Street Works Act 1991, Traffic Management Act 2004, and the London Permit Scheme.
- Strong organisational and administration skills.
- Knowledge of street works management systems and experience with Insight/Symology is a plus!
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Enthusiastic team player.
