We are looking for a skilled and detail‑oriented Traffic Management CAD Designer to join our growing team. You will play a key role in producing accurate, compliant traffic management drawings to support a wide range of highway and infrastructure projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Traffic Management planners, and on‑site teams, you will ensure designs meet current legislation, client standards, and best practice while supporting safe and efficient delivery on site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD designer or someone with traffic management experience looking to develop their design career further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce detailed traffic management drawings using Briscad – Cone Software
  • Design temporary traffic management layouts in line with:
    • DVA / Chapter 8
    • TSRGD
    • Safety at Street Works and Road Works Code of Practice
  • Amend and update drawings to reflect site changes and client requirements
  • Work closely with Project Managers and planners to meet programme deadlines
  • Ensure all drawings are accurate, compliant, and issued within agreed timescales
  • Maintain organised project files and drawing registers
  • Support continuous improvement of design standards and templates

Relevant qualifications or training in CAD or traffic management

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD – (BricCad – Cone 11)
  • Experience producing traffic management drawings (temporary traffic management preferred)
  • Strong understanding of UK highway standards and traffic management regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Desirable

  • Traffic Management industry experience
  • Knowledge of local authority approval processes
