We are looking for an ICP Co-ordinator to support our Street Lighting team by managing and co-ordinating Independent Connection Provider (ICP) activities. This is a key role that will work with our team to ensure that electrical connection works are planned, compliant, and delivered efficiently, working closely with UK Power Networks (UKPN), operational teams, and commercial colleagues.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the ICP programme, reviewing designs and documentation, securing approvals, and making sure all works comply with network operator standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and programme ICP works, acting as the main liaison with UK Power Networks (UKPN)
- Review designs and documentation to ensure compliance with network operator requirements
- Study network maps and submit Site Specific Permission (SSP) applications to UKPN, identifying cables that can be worked on safely
- Schedule all approved SSP works, co-ordinating joint teams, civils gangs, HIABs and traffic management
- Apply for fuse, linking or cable identification where required
- Issue whereabouts and beenabouts notifications to UKPN
- Prepare and maintain full job packs, including statutory undertaker drawings and relevant task information
- Apply for permits and liaise with the permit team, confirming opening and closing times
- Submit "as laid" drawings, photographic evidence and completion information to UKPN within required timescales
- Review and authorise invoices from UKPN, subcontractors, traffic management providers and materials suppliers, forwarding to the commercial team
- Approve completed ICP job sheets
- Provide general administrative support to the Street Lighting division as required
- Ability to read and interpret UKPN live LV cable Netmaps, LV drawings and ADMS
- Working knowledge of LPN, EPN and SPN areas and their differing requirements
- Strong IT skills, including experience using Excel, Word and databases
- Organised, detail-focused and confident communicating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
