Here at Marlborough Highways we are looking for Class 2 Drivers who will support our Winter Maintenance, working on Zero Hour Contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all daily vehicle checks and fill out Vehicle Defect Book at the start of shift and end of shift.
- Report all defects including tyre issues to Transport Manager.
- Completion of gritting records.
- Setting calibration rates for gritting on vehicle.
- Grease vehicle as necessary.
- Fill vehicles with fuel on return to yard at end of the day.
- Present Tachograph card for downloading on a weekly basis.
- Ensure all goods are safely secured.
- Ensure your vehicle is kept in a good, clean condition.
- Load and unload the vehicle adhering to Safe Working Procedures and Risk Assessments.
- Work from other depots within the group and operate other vehicles when required.
- Report all accidents and incidents immediately and obtain details as required.
- Comply with all Health, Safety, HR and Environmental policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous Class 2 Driving experience essential.
- Winter Maintenance / Gritter experience desirable (training may be provided for the right candidate).
- HGV Class 2 Licence.
