We are on the search for General Operatives to work with our new team carrying out works in Windsor and Maidenhead. As an integral part of our team you will work alongside our Foremans and Supervisors with the rest of the team to ensure we carry out our works safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Shovelling
- Lifting, carrying materials
- Setting up pedestrian barriers
- Attending training including competence related safety training, induction, start of work briefings (including SSRA & RAMS briefings) and refreshers applying those learned safe working skills in the workplace.
- Picking up and delivering products using a forklift (training given)
- Trained to operate handheld tools (disc cutter, Whackers)
- General housekeeping - keeping yard open space, internal storage area clean and tidy free from hazards
Skills and Experience
- Ability to work well in a team and willing to learn
- Driving license with access to a vehicle would be beneficial
- Prior experience in the highways sector would be beneficial
- CSCS card would be beneficial
