We are now accepting applications for our Graduate Teaching Assistant programme, starting September 2025. If you have a passion for teaching and learning, and are keen to experience life working at a busy co-educational boarding school then becoming a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Marlborough College could be for you.

You will be expected to teach up to three classes, with appropriate training and mentoring support. As well as coaching sport in the afternoon and on match days, you will also have the opportunity to tutor in one of our sixteen Boarding Houses. Marlborough's vibrant community of Graduate Assistants are an invaluable part of College life; supporting pupils within and beyond the classroom. A key element of this rewarding opportunity is to encourage and mentor pupils on and off campus ensuring that their health, safety and welfare are protected.

You will be a key member of a specific teaching department, chosen to match your degree specialism and interests. You will ideally have an enthusiasm and interest in sport, be energetic, and have a natural rapport with young people as well as a genuine interest in, and commitment to, their care and development.

Joining us for an academic year, you will be immersed in the life of a busy boarding school with a salary package that includes accommodation and all meals during term-time, but more importantly offers a fantastic opportunity and fulfilling experience.

With our Graduate Assistant programme, we open recruitment not knowing exactly what specialisms we might need for the following Academic year and so encourage applications for different academic disciplines. Currently, we are keen to hear from those who would be interested in joining our Modern Foreign Languages department, specifically with a knowledge/experience of Chinese/Mandarin.
