As a part of our continued growth, we are looking for Junior M&A Analysts to join our business. Gathering data is at the heart of what we do, and our systems are optimised around your role. You will be fully trained in how to carry out this work. We are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals with a strong positive attitude, who want to become a part of an exciting, growing start-up.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining datasets using our proprietary software
- Understanding and annotating the performance of companies via their accounts
- Understanding and annotating transactions from a variety of public and private sources
- Identifying M&A transactions
- Finding, annotating and documenting the constituent parts of the M&A transactions
- Categorising M&A targets into a relevant industry and sector
- Checking, editing and writing short descriptions of an M&A transaction
Qualifications:
- A degree or HND in a financial discipline (preferred)
- Data entry, cleaning, and analysis experience (preferred)
- An interest in breaking into Corporate Finance
- Interest in the interaction between technology and finance
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Logical reasoning
- Previous exposure to financial accounting
Benefits, Compensation and Working Situation:
- Starting salary of £25,500 per annum
- Data incentive of up to 10% per month, dependent on team quality
- Based in central Edinburgh (CodeBase)
