This role will be critical to delivering the End to End Transformation of our supply chain technology, ensuring our Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) enable growth, resilience and operational excellence across M&S.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the strategic direction of our WMS products, leading complex, business critical platforms used across distribution and fulfilment operations. You will act as the voice of the customer and colleague at the intersection of operations, technology and business strategy. You will define a compelling product vision and roadmap that supports volume growth, automation, efficiency and future ways of working.
Working in partnership with Engineering, Architecture and Supply Chain and Logistics leadership, you will prioritise investment to maximise operational value, ensuring solutions are valuable, viable, usable and feasible for the business. You will also play a key role in developing Product Management maturity, providing leadership, coaching and thought leadership across the community.
What you'll do
- Own and communicate the long term product vision and roadmap for Warehouse Management Systems.
- Manage complex products with significant operational and commercial impact, delivering measurable value.
- Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics leadership to align product outcomes to business strategy.
- Balance strategic transformation, operational efficiency, risk, resilience, and technical health within the product backlog.
- Ensure effective integration across the wider supply chain technology landscape.
- Define, track and report on product success using operational KPIs and OKRs.
- Support live service and DevOps ways of working, ensuring system stability and continuous improvement.
- Lead discovery into future warehouse capabilities, including automation, optimisation and data driven decision making.
- Mentor Product Managers and contribute to the ongoing maturity of the Product Management Community.
- Provide thought leadership on modern, product led delivery within operational technology.
Who you are
- Significant experience in Product Management delivering enterprise scale platforms.
- Deep experience with Warehouse Management Systems in complex, high volume environments.
- Strong understanding of warehouse and distribution operations. Preferably experienced in large UK retail or multi-channel supply chains.
- Proven ability to define strategic product roadmaps and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience working in DevOps or always on operational environments.
Desirable experience: exposure to warehouse automation or robotics & experience delivering large scale transformation programmes.
