What you’ll do

  • Promote & drive a clear understanding of the Jaeger customer, ensuring the segments and demographics needs are understood and put at the heart of the product offer.
  • Create, develop, and deliver exceptional elevated product that excites the customer, sets Jaeger apart from their competitors and promotes the brand globally across clothing & accessories.
  • Ensure the Jaeger fit and materials are refined and to a premium level.
  • Lead a trading culture across all levels.
  • Collaborate with Sourcing Offices globally to develop appropriate supply routes.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the buying team.
  • Identify and develop talent within the team, benchmarking across peer group and promoting movement of people within the business.

Who you are

  • Working to at least Buyer level, preferred background in premium or luxury womenswear but premium handwriting is most important.
  • Strong technical womenswear knowledge, with a proven track record of developing and trading highly commercial elevated ranges that exceed sales & profit targets.
  • Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Merchandising and Technology and Global Sourcing Offices.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrics used and understanding of material supply base.
  • Highly organised approach and commitment to closing and completing tasks.
  • Ability to lead, coach and manage people to support development and drive success.
  • Proactively agree to take on Head of Buying responsibilities where required.
