What You Will Do
- Own and continuously develop refrigeration specifications, ensuring they meet business requirements, support Plan A and Carbon Net Zero commitments, and remain compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Partner with Store Design and key stakeholders to support the technical development of new store concepts and initiatives, ensuring solutions are delivered right first time.
- Identify and lead engineering innovation opportunities that improve sustainability, energy efficiency, operational performance and refrigerant strategy delivery.
- Review and analyse refrigeration equipment performance, identify root cause issues and develop short, medium and long-term improvement plans with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across Construction, Facilities Management, Procurement, consultants and suppliers, providing technical guidance, carrying out technical reviews and supporting investment and category planning decisions.

- What You Will Bring
- Recognised qualification in Refrigeration at degree level or equivalent.
- Strong technical knowledge of refrigeration systems, including design, specification and maintenance requirements.
- Experience in technical management across a multi-site environment, with proven success managing relationships with third-party suppliers, consultants and contractors.
- Practical knowledge of refrigeration legislation, Health and Safety requirements, statutory compliance, F-Gas regulations and environmental standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational, budget management and communication skills, with the ability to maintain high standards whilst delivering against business objectives.
