What you’ll do

  • As the Assistant Merchandiser Advanced on Womenswear you will take full ownership for budgeting, promotional and clearance markdown, in-season trading and exit decisions and intake and volume plan.
  • Your key accountabilities will include:
    • Manage ongoing stock planning
    • Provide reporting on supplier performance against KPIs
    • Manage promotional and clearance markdown
    • Manage in-season and exit trading
    • Coordinate stock allocation to stores

Who you are

  • Your skills and experience will include:
    • Working to at least Assistant Merchandiser level at a major retailer
    • Passionate about M&S and the menswear product range – confident initiating trading actions.
    • Technical knowledge of the end to end buy to store process
    • Experience of using the relevant IT support systems
    • Strong numerical, analytical and interpretive skills
    • Ability to initiate and build strong relationships with Design, Buying and Technology
    • Strong communication and influencing skills
