Lead and develop a Data Science team to deliver high quality analytics, ML, and AI solutions that support operational and colleague facing products. Enable the delivery of data science use cases end to end, ensuring solutions address real business problems and deliver measurable value. Translate business requirements into well defined data science problems, aligned to M&S priorities and decision making needs. Champion excellent data science practices, ensuring solutions are scalable, well documented, and production ready. Contribute to building a best in class data science culture, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Provide strong day to day leadership and coaching to Data Scientists, supporting technical growth, career development, and a positive learning mindset. Plan and prioritise work effectively, balancing demand across multiple initiatives through clear resource planning and workload management. Guide the team on appropriate methodologies and ML/AI techniques, embedding robust testing, validation, and monitoring into all solutions. Work closely with product, data engineering, analytics, and MLOps teams to ensure solutions are seamlessly integrated and supported in production. Communicate clearly with non technical stakeholders, explaining complex concepts simply and demonstrating the business value of data science outcomes.
