Key Responsibilities:

  • Thrive in a high‑pressure environment, stay sharp, fast, and focused during busy times.
  • Utilise digital tools such as the Sparks App and in‑store devices to enhance the customer experience.
  • Contribute to a positive, high‑energy team environment and support colleagues to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Show flexibility across various store areas, adapting to changing demands; embrace varying shifts.
  • Lead the fill operation, coordinating resources to serve, sell, and fill, and lead the floor in the absence of the Colleague Manager.
  • Coach colleagues on One Best Way and drive productivity ahead of store opening.
  • Allocate resources for a quick payment experience.
  • Implement daily operational processes efficiently and on time.
  • Coordinate the team to maintain a clean, safe, and well‑presented store.
  • Create a great team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone.
  • Role model excellent customer service and M&S behaviours.
  • Support Colleague Managers by sharing observations to support high performance and recognise great colleagues.
  • Assist nearby stores if operationally required.
  • Serve as a key holder and answer call‑outs as required.
  • Handle opening and closing tasks: vehicle receipt, temperature control, logging operational issues, cash handling, and TSL compliance.
