Photographer in Manchester

Manchester Full-Time On-site
M

If you’re a photographer who loves making food, drink and consumer brands look incredible, this is an opportunity to do it every day.

We’re growing our Manchester Content Studio and looking for an experienced Photographer to join the team. You’ll shoot across an exciting mix of FMCG, retail and brand content, from beautifully crafted packaging shots through to lifestyle imagery and wider campaign assets.

This is a hands‑on creative role where you’ll work closely with food stylists, prop stylists, designers and art directors to take a brief and turn it into brilliant photography.

If you love the technical craft of photography but also want the freedom to bring ideas, experiment and elevate the creative, we'd love to see your portfolio and hear from you.

Bring your eye, your craft and your ideas. We'll give you plenty to shoot.

What you’ll be doing

  • Shooting live client work across food, drink, packaging, lifestyle and wider brand content.
  • Working closely with food and prop stylists to create beautifully considered imagery.
  • Taking briefs from initial conversations through to the final shoot, bringing your own ideas and photographic expertise along the way.
  • Using lighting, composition and technique to create consistently strong, technically accurate photography.
  • Working directly with clients and account teams to understand what they need and find the best creative solution.
  • Collaborating with designers and art directors to make sure photography works brilliantly as part of the wider creative idea.
  • Bringing inspiration from photography, food, drink, retail, packaging and wider visual trends into your work.
  • Exploring new equipment and techniques that could push the quality of the studio's output even further.

What we’re looking for

You’d already have solid experience working as a professional photographer and be confident operating within a busy studio environment.

We’d love to see:

  • A strong photography portfolio, ideally showcasing food, drink, retail, FMCG or consumer brands.
  • Excellent knowledge of studio lighting and the ability to adapt your approach across different photographic styles.
  • Strong experience using professional camera and studio equipment.
  • Confidence using Capture One and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience working within a professional photography studio.
  • A strong understanding of how to interpret a creative brief and deliver technically excellent work.
  • A genuine interest in food and beverage photography.
  • The confidence to contribute ideas and photographic solutions rather than simply execute what's put in front of you.
  • A positive, collaborative and resourceful approach to working on set.

The studio

You’ll be joining a close‑knit Manchester studio with a genuine creative buzz, where photography, styling, design and production work side‑by‑side to create brilliant work together. This is very much a studio‑based role, with the majority of your time spent on site in Manchester and flexibility where the work allows.
