As a Retoucher at Marks, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality and consistency of our digital assets. Your responsibilities will include retouching and enhancing images, collaborating with CGI artists, photographers, art directors, producers and our wider creative teams in the UK and overseas. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, contributing your expertise to deliver exceptional visual content.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced retouching techniques to enhance and perfect digital images, maintaining the intended style and aesthetic.
- Work closely with CGI artists, producers, photographers, and art directors to understand project objectives and deliver retouched images that align with creative visions.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to other team members to elevate the quality of our collective creative output.
- Conduct final quality checks to eliminate errors and ensure images are client ready.
- Propose and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and quality.
Skills and Abilities
- Correct color, exposure, and composition with precision and attention to detail.
- Firm understanding of light and color.
- Engage with clients & creative teams to understand their specific retouching needs and ensure client satisfaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work with remote teams efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends, technology and AI integration to remain relevant and innovative.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Minimum Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a retoucher in a commercial photography or creative agency.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in image retouching and your understanding of brand building and design.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and other relevant retouching software.
- Advanced knowledge of color correction, image compositing, and non-destructive editing.
- Experience working in a CGI-led environment, or with 3D design tools.
- Interest in industry trends and emerging retouching techniques to continually enhance workflows and capabilities.
- Experience and interest working in AI and emerging technologies.
- Proven ability to work effectively with remote team members.
