As Senior Buyer for Home Living, you will shape distinctive product ranges aligned to customer needs and brand aims. You will work closely with Design, Merchandising, Technical and global sourcing to translate trends into high-quality products that drive sales, profit and brand growth. You’ll lead a cross-functional team, champion customer insight, and establish a cohesive product strategy across online and stores. This is a strategic, hands-on role at the heart of M&S Home Living, offering impact at scale and a chance to influence the customer journey.

Responsibilities
- Drive the development and delivery of exciting Home Living product ranges that differentiate the brand and hit commercial targets
- Champion customer-centric decision making by embedding customer segments and needs into the offer
- Partner with Design to translate market trends into a differentiated range with clear online and store strategy
- Utilise historical sales, trend and design insight to manage price, colour, shape and margin for a balanced, commercial range
- Collaborate with Buying, Technical, Design, Merchandising, Marketing and Retail to deliver a cohesive product strategy and consistent brand handwriting
Key requirements
- Strong technical knowledge with a proven track record of developing and trading ranges that exceed sales and profit targets
- Significant senior-level buying experience in retail, ideally with Home Living product knowledge
- Ability to build effective relationships across Design, Merchandising, Technical and global sourcing teams
- In-depth knowledge of cost price negotiation and global sourcing with ability to develop a high-performing supply base
- Demonstrated experience building comprehensive product collections meeting current and future customer needs
