This role is crucial in terms of the support it provides to ensure the efficient operation of our logistics department and performs various administrative tasks to ensure alignment with business practices and legislation. To enable our teams to meet both our compliance reporting requirements and departmental targets, so we can provide a remarkable service to our customers. This opportunity is for a secondment opportunity and will follow the Week 1 Nights rota, the hours are 18:00pm to 06:00am. The salary for this position is £26,846.82 plus 25% nightshift premium on hours worked between 10pm and 6am.
What you’ll do
- Complete the administration processes to the required company standards.
- Providing clear handovers with the oncoming Administrator to ensure all the key information is reviewed and a detailed transition undertaken.
- Complete reports accurately and on time to ensure the correct information is received by Business Partners and Managers.
- Complete Carrier/ Freight administration in line with business requirements.
- Maintaining all Data, Documents, Logs and conduct Data analysis as needed.
- Ensuring activities are carried out Safely, in compliance with Risk Assessments, Legal Responsibilities and Safe Working Practices. Raising issues as required.
Who you are
- Strong administration skills, highly organised with meticulous dedication to detail.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Business Applications (Outlook, Excel, Teams, One Drive etc).
- A confident communicator who is comfortable working with different internal business partners from various departments.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with others.
- An awareness of JDA Red Prairie, Yard Management and knowledge of XDPR would be helpful but is not crucial as training will be provided to the successful candidate.
