Overview

As part of the M&S TV team, you will lead the content, audience and talent strategy to entertain, inspire and drive growth across multiple platforms.

You’ll shape a cohesive programming plan for Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty and turn audience insight into engaging formats that support sales.

You’ll own distribution on You Tube, Instagram, Tik Tok and M&S. com, ensuring high-quality content and strong community engagement.

This role combines creative direction with rights management, partnerships and data-driven optimization, in a fast-moving, inclusive retail environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver measurable impact at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Own the M&S TV content and editorial strategy across Food, Fashion, Home & Beauty with a clear programming plan
  • Convert audience insights and brand priorities into entertaining formats that boost repeat viewing and commercial impact
  • Set You Tube growth strategy and publishing calendar, including titles, thumbnails, metadata and cadence
  • Grow and protect the community through engagement, moderation, sentiment monitoring and escalation
  • Lead talent strategy—sourcing and approving presenters, guests and creators, managing relationships, budgets and contingencies
  • Track talent usage rights, ensure compliance and audit readiness
  • Direct South Shore and agency partners to optimise distribution across You Tube, Instagram, Tik Tok and M&S. com
  • Key requirements
  • Proven content strategy, editorial commissioning and audience-growth experience
  • Deep knowledge of You Tube and organic social, with optimization and performance analysis
  • Experience managing talent, creators or influencers, including contracts and usage rights
  • Strong community management, stakeholder leadership and analytical skills
  • Ability to direct production companies and agencies without direct line-management authority
