As a Garment Development Technologist, you’ll use your technical expertise to develop products that look great, fit beautifully and delivers the quality our customers expect. From shaping specifications and supporting fit approvals to driving innovation, compliance, safety and responsible sourcing, you’ll play a key role in turning great design into market-leading product. We recommend applying as soon as possible.What you’ll do Your key accountabilities will includeKeep abreast of the latest technology trends in materials, fabric, fibre construction techniques etc. and feed these into the product development process.Manage adherence to product safety, compliance and ethical standards in line with legislation and corporate policy.Deliver clear specifications on Design Tech Packs to include fit, fabric quality, Made Well standards, construction and components.Approve fits and contract seals where relevant, ensuring construction and consistency is achieved in line with standards.Accountability for signing off the BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensuring that all relevant product technical documentation, including legal, testing and safety, is present on system at contract seal.Who you are Your skills and experience will includeExpert in the field of technology including manufacturing of fabric / raw materials.Excellent communication skills within FH&B Technical Function, Design and Buying, supply base and Global Sourcing Offices.Multi-task orientated, working to tight deadlines while maintaining entrepreneurialism.Capable of interpreting customer data, including CIU, Bazaar voice, QPIs and online star ratings, to shape future product development strategy.Experience of briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Buying and Design teams to create Tech Packs.What’s in it for you?
