Ready to play a key role in one of the most exciting transformation programmes at M&S? This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Finance Manager supporting Digital & Technology Finance and ERP Transformation, partnering at the heart of a major multi-year programme including SAP S/4 implementation and ECC decommissioning. You’ll work closely with Finance Directors and senior Digital & Technology leaders, providing commercial insight, challenge and clarity to drive the right investment decisions and deliver long-term value. Operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, this role offers the chance to become a trusted business partner and critical friend, influencing at a senior level while helping shape the future of finance at M&S.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you’ll do

  • Acting as a Finance Business Partner to Digital & Technology and ERP Transformation, delivering strategic financial insight to support ExCo-level decision-making and investment choices.
  • Providing commercial challenge and cost transparency, ensuring strong control over programme spend, resource investment and total cost of ownership.
  • Partnering cross-functionally to model benefits, assess initiatives and support business cases, tracking performance, OKRs and benefits realisation across programmes.
  • Supporting budgets, forecasts and long-term planning cycles, including monthly reporting, reforecasts and 5-year strategic plans across transformation programmes.
  • Leading on financial governance, risk management and performance reporting, including insightful analysis, programme tracking and post-implementation reviews.

Who you are

  • A qualified accountant with several years’ post-qualification experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in Technology Finance and/or SAP transformation, with an understanding of large-scale change programmes.
  • A strong collaborator who builds credible relationships and thrives in a matrix environment.
  • A commercially curious, analytical thinker with the ability to challenge, influence and partner at senior levels.
  • Proven ability to work at pace, manage competing priorities and drive change, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
