Everyone is welcome at M&S. No exceptions. It's your background, abilities and differences that make you, uniquely you. And when you're part of M&S, that individuality has the potential to make waves.

We're looking for a Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist to manage Adobe Analytics tracking across M&S UK/ROI websites and web applications. You'll ensure data accuracy and reliability across Adobe Analytics and Clickstream by writing tagging specifications, coding custom snippets within our tag management system, and configuring the analytics tool. The role involves building tests and alerts to monitor data quality and partnering closely with Product Owners, Analysts, and other teams across M&S. You'll work across a range of platforms — from our main retail sites to internal web apps like Assist and seasonal microsites such as School Uniform and Christmas Food to Order.

A strong technical background in JavaScript, HTML, and experience with Adobe Analytics and tag management tools is essential, as you'll play a key part in bringing our data to life and supporting the vision of our Lead Visualisation Analyst.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What's in it for you? Being a part of M&S is exactly that – playing your part to bring the magic of M&S to our customers every day. We're an inclusive, dynamic, exciting, and ever-evolving business built on doing the right thing and bringing exceptional quality, value, service to every customer, whenever, wherever, and however they want to shop with us.

  • After completing your probationary period, you'll receive 20% colleague discount across all M&S products and many of our third-party brands for you and a member of your household.
  • Competitive holiday entitlement with the potential to buy extra holiday days.
  • Discretionary bonus schemes awarded based on how you achieve your personal objectives and our performance as a business.
  • A generous Defined Contribution Pension Scheme and Life Assurance.
  • A dedicated welcome to our teams with a tailored induction and a wide range of training programmes to develop your skills.
  • Amazing perks and discounts via our M&S Choices portal to maximise your financial and personal wellbeing.
  • Industry-leading parental, adoption, and neonatal policies, providing support and flexibility for your family.
  • Access to a fantastic range of wellbeing support for all colleagues including access to our 24/7 Virtual GP and PAM Assist to support you and your family.
  • A charity volunteer day to support a charity or cause you're passionate about through a dedicated day away from work.

What you will be doing:

  • Requirements gathering – Work with Product Owners and engineers to understand reporting requirements and make recommendations, based on business experience and balancing cost against benefit.
  • Documentation – Write clear, detailed tagging specifications, following an existing template, with example code snippets and expected output.
  • Development – Make changes in Tealium tag management system to ensure the tagging will result in the required output into Adobe Analytics and the wider Tealium Data Layer, for consumption by other 3rd party tags (e.g., CDP).
  • Tealium Configuration – Configure Tealium, to map the data into Adobe Analytics dimensions and metrics.
  • Adobe Configuration – Configure dimensions and metrics to give the required reporting output.
  • Configure processing rules and classifications to augment raw data, where useful.
  • Stakeholder Management – Discuss reporting output with stakeholders to ensure understanding and hand over to O&O analysts when deeper analysis is needed.
  • Auditing – Build Observe point audits and rules to test the tracking on an ongoing basis.
  • Configure alerts in ObservePoint and/or Adobe, to pro-actively highlight missing/incorrect data.
  • Community presence – have a presence within the M&S analytical and reporting community and answer queries relating to implementation.

You will have:

  • A degree (or higher) in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or a related field, with a passion for using data to tell stories and solve problems.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Analytics (Omniture) and a solid understanding of digital data analysis.
  • A naturally curious and analytical mindset, able to organise and interpret data from different sources to uncover meaningful insights.
  • Great communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to share your findings and influence teams across the business.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with a proactive, collaborative approach to learning and growing.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics implementation, SQL and Tealium.
