The predicted salary is between 28350 - 34650 £ per year.
This vacancy is on the Week 1 Night shift, who work a 12 hour shift which starts at 18.00 and finishes at 6.00am and will receive a 25% premium for the hours worked between 10pm and 6am. NB: To be considered for this role you will need an HGV licence please make sure that your current CV reflects the qualifications you have. Selected candidates will be invited to an onsite assessment.
What you’ll do
- Collaborating closely with warehouse and transport teams to ensure that the correct equipment / trailers are positioned on and off the trailer bays.
- Conduct a pre-load check before positioning a trailer on a bay, including defects and equipment accurately prepared for loading.
- Work in partnership with the Transport admin teams to ensure that we meet carrier requirements minimising missed promise orders.
- Ensure Health & Safety standards are always considered, and Manual Handling guidelines are followed.
- Always operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) and Risk Assessment requirements.
Who you are
- Hold a Class 1 (C&E) License and previous experience of driving HGV vehicles.
- Strong proficiency in reading and writing in English language, with the ability to comprehend and adhere to instructions and safety rules.
- Basic computer and handheld device experience with the ability to count accurately and to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 17.5 kg required.
- Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment.
