At M&S, we’re transforming how technology empowers our colleagues to do their best work - and we’re looking for a Domain Architect to help shape that future. Sitting within our Architecture function, this role plays a critical part in defining the strategy and target architecture across colleague productivity and enablement, spanning collaboration, workplace technology, communications, and end-user experiences. You’ll work at pace across a complex landscape, partnering with Product, Engineering and Business leaders to simplify, modernise and drive long-term value. We’re looking for someone who combines strong enterprise architecture expertise with the ability to influence at senior level and bring others on the journey.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and evolve architecture strategy, target state and roadmaps across colleague productivity & enablement
  • Drive simplification and modernisation of the technology landscape, reducing cost and improving experience
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Security and stakeholders to align business and technical priorities
  • Lead architecture governance, standards and best practice across the platform landscape
  • Act as a trusted technical leader, influencing decisions and guiding delivery at squad and programme level

Who you are:

  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture within large, complex organisations
  • Strong understanding of digital workplace technologies (collaboration, productivity, workplace tech, end-user devices)
  • Track record of delivering technology transformation at scale
  • Confident stakeholder management with the ability to influence and drive alignment at senior level
  • Ability to translate strategy into clear, actionable architecture plans and outcomes
