As Digital Marketing Manager for international online, you will be leading a team of talented individuals working across performance and acquisition channels including paid & organic search, social media, PR & influencers, display and affiliates. Your role will be crucial in developing our cross-channel fertilisation strategy underpinned by industry leading data & measurement capabilities. Putting the customer at the heart of all decision making, you will be responsible for driving brand awareness for international markets across both D2C and Marketplaces (Zalando & Amazon) crafting a brand narrative that deeply resonates with international customers.

You will collaborate with key UK marketing stakeholders to translate the best of M&S into localised campaign strategies with the support of the campaign planning manager. You will translate a compelling content strategy into an innovative paid media strategy ensuring you are drawing upon expertise from our strategic partnerships with Google, Meta, and external media agency. Customer acquisition will be a key focus particularly across our European online-only markets. The role requires an expert in balancing acquisition and retention led strategies simultaneously to deliver profitable growth.

A robust and agile forecasting methodology will be the backbone of this role requiring an individual who is just as confident in creative & content as they are in analytical rigour. Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Line manages a team of channel specialists; coaching each individual to set stretching objectives and develop their own skill sets to enable them to progress within their roles and the broader business.
  • Develop a truly integrated approach to digital campaigns including audience planning and measurement framework, adopting a full funnel customer first channel methodology.
  • Define a market leading measurement & attribution solution alongside a robust test & learn roadmap to enable M&S to make better budget decisions to drive incrementality.
  • Co-ordinate paid media channel forecasting working closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure 100% alignment and understanding.
  • Strategic agency management of key partners including PR agency, Media agency, SEO agency and Affiliate partners, ensuring we are getting the service level needed to drive efficiencies.

Your skills and experience will include:

  • People and talent management expertise to coach individuals to develop their skill sets and progress within their roles.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, with proven experience of influencing in a complex business.
  • Confidence in managing external agency/supplier relationships that involve significant budgets.
  • Strong digital analytics capability and experience using marketing tools such as Adobe analytics, Google Search Ads 360, and Facebook/Instagram Ads Manager.
  • Being highly numerate and able to thrive in a fact and data-driven environment.
