The predicted salary is between 63000 - 77000 £ per year.

This role blends construction engineering, planning, project management, contract management and facilities management in line with build, maintain, sustain principles. You should have significant project or programme management, construction or engineering experience with a demonstrated record of managing builds across existing properties and new builds. You will have experience with production and management of tender process, agreement and administration of contracts and ongoing review and creation of specifications to suit business requirements & satisfy statutory consents. Previous experience of facilities management would also be highly beneficial.

What you will do:

  • Take project briefs and develop project scoping, planning documents, project proposals and business case content to support effective decision making.
  • Manage the construction engineering, planning, design and delivery of renewal, extension and new space projects from conception through to handover.
  • Gather information, conduct research and use stakeholder, customer and data insights to inform project delivery and investment decisions.
  • Coordinate project meetings, governance activities and reporting cycles, ensuring timely communication, progress updates and effective escalation of risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Deliver the highest safety standards across all projects, ensuring compliance with government legislation, M&S standards and project governance requirements.
  • Lead site management activities, coordinating contractors and supply chain partners to deliver against programme, safety, quality and cost targets, whilst negotiating supplier contracts where required.
  • Build trusted relationships across the Retail and Property community, proactively supporting leadership teams to identify risks and opportunities, whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Who you will be:

  • Comfortable leading and working across multiple business units, functions and teams, balancing stakeholder needs whilst building strong relationships and credibility across the Retail and Property community.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for delivering project outcomes, prioritising effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Committed to delivering excellent work at pace, with strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain momentum in demanding environments.
  • Confident making decisions in ambiguous situations, overcoming challenges, identifying opportunities and finding pragmatic ways to move projects forward.
  • Adaptable and resilient, able to flex communication and leadership style to engage a variety of stakeholders whilst responding positively to changing business priorities.
  • Proven experience in project and programme management, real estate development, architecture or design, with a strong understanding of Property functions and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, present recommendations with authority and impact, and travel across the UK and ROI as business needs require.
