We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Designer with experience in Formal & Smartwear to join our Menswear Tailoring team. In this role, you will support the design team in delivering collections that are both timely and commercially relevant.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting trend and market research
  • Developing clear and engaging visual presentations
  • Assisting with fit sessions
  • Supporting the product development process from initial concept through to final sample

A strong understanding of knitwear construction, yarns, and techniques is essential. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a collaborative and fast-paced design environment.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Working alongside the JD / Designer to deliver the global product direction
  • Working with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time
  • Creating CAD’s using Photoshop / Illustrator in order to show true representation of product for range reviews and PLM tech packs
  • Supporting the Designer to deliver Design Briefs to Indirect Suppliers when required
  • Supporting the Designer on producing a high standard of Tech pack and hit rate on Direct

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail
  • Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace, and product design
  • Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs
  • High level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD
  • Multitask orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the Design and Buying critical path
