What you'll do
- You'll be responsible for writing onsite copy for our UK and IE sites, including inspiring long-form content, buying guides and short-form copy for use across the site including landing pages, email and press releases for digital PR.
- Showcasing and directing customers to M&S product based on the commercial and campaign priorities of the business.
- To ensure that all content produced has SEO considered.
- To keep in contact and build relationships with the wider teams and stay up to date with upcoming campaigns, products, design themes and business priorities, and to use this information to help inform content planning.
- Ensure that all rich content creates seamless customer journeys and is mindful of all other creative content the M&S customer might consume.
- Responsible for the end-to-end production of inspirational long-form content from idea generation to launching online.
- To use analytics reports to help judge the performance of content and inform future content proposals.
What you'll need
- Digital editorial experience and ability to write and produce engaging content with a commercial focus both long and short form.
- Copy-writing skills across editorial and commercial content with a digital focus and consideration of SEO.
- Knowledge of trends and developments in product areas.
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects and to react quickly to changing priorities.
- A sound knowledge of SEO and the relationship of this to content.
- Commercial understanding and working to buying and marketing critical paths.
- Experience of working across multiple teams and business areas to achieve the overall business strategy.
- Ability to develop relationships with appropriate areas and stakeholders.
- Ability to work with reactionary trading changes, resulting in prioritising workload.
- Knowledge of competitors and what gold standard content looks like.
- Confident in analysing and reporting information and use analytics tools such as Adobe and Contentsquare.
- Experience in using Content Management and image systems, namely Contentful and Photoshop.
