As Technology Blueprint Lead, you'll define the strategy, standards and long-term technology intent for the M&S store estate across the UK, ROI and franchise partners. You'll create a single, trusted view of future store technology outcomes, helping teams make clear decisions on investment, sequencing and priorities before delivery begins. You'll act as the central point of alignment across Retail, Property, Digital & Technology, Service, Security, Finance and Delivery, translating complex technology roadmaps into clear store outcomes and practical choices for senior stakeholders.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the Store Technology Blueprint as the single source of truth for hardware standards, target store outcomes, approved versions and long-term technology intent.
  • Shape a rolling, time-defined plan for store technology refresh, translating future Digital & Technology roadmaps into clear blueprint intent.
  • Partner across Digital & Technology, Retail Implementation and Property to identify demand early, challenge assumptions, align sequencing and support smooth delivery handovers.
  • Champion proactive obsolescence and lifecycle planning, balancing supportability, security, compliance, cost, risk and store impact.
  • Support governance and senior decision-making by turning complex technical, operational and commercial considerations into clear recommendations and trade-offs.

Who you are:

  • Experience in programme management, portfolio planning or a similar role within a complex organisation.
  • Able to plan across multi-year horizons, balancing long-term strategy with operational needs.
  • Comfortable working with hardware, physical technology deployment or site-based environments, ideally within retail.
  • You bring strong stakeholder management skills and can build alignment across teams with different priorities and constraints.
  • Skilled in developing decision papers, options appraisals and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
