Are you passionate about turning data into decisions and ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time? As a Supply and Demand Planner, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the flow of stock from suppliers to stores, maximizing profitability through strategic, cross-functional planning.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our commercial engine—driving growth and profitability for M&S through end-to-end planning excellence. You\’ll harness data insights to make informed decisions, optimize supply chains, and ensure our customers always find what they need.
You will build and maintain excellent supplier relationships. Working alongside suppliers to improve supplier KPIs while abide by GSCOP, ensuring we remain compliant and fair to all parties.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

Key Accountabilities
Your key accountabilities will include
- Facilitate successful product and range launches, promotions, seasonal planning, NPD, events and phase change in line with the agreed critical path, engaging with all stakeholders in a timely manner
- Accurate and timely system set up of all forecasts, using expert knowledge to build forecasts at product location level, working collaboratively with other Supply Chain functions on outliers
- Manage end to end peak processes, including forecast planning, supplier management and product group checking. Manage NDC stock holding and inbound planning (Ambient specific)
- Work with the Lead Supply and Senior Demand Planners to achieve best practice ways of working in your specific area of responsibility.
- Understand improvements at the shelf edge by getting closer to our customers and spending at least 7 days per year in store.

Your skills and experience will include
- A passion for Food and M&S products with a desire to learn about our brand and our customer’s
- Is highly organised with an eye for detail, able to anticipate and manage problems, prioritising and escalating where necessary
- Able to demonstrate a strategic data driven mindset
- Is highly analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
- Strong Stakeholder Management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments
