The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 Β£ per year.
Fully woven into the DNA of M&S, our Finance team plays a key role in setting the pace for our key business decisions, shaping our budgets, analysing our sales, managing costs, and making sure our most critical statistics and data are absolutely accurate. Youβll have full accountability for the central costs base for the International business and ownership of the International Capex plan. This includes budgeting, forecasting and managing both costs and capex for month end reporting. Business partnering with the cost owners across International and Heads of Finance in our owned markets is key for the success of this role.

Your key accountabilities will include:
- Key player in the International Finance transformation strategy working closely with senior business partners in London, motivating changes across systems and reporting in a complex structure.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within your team.
- Monthly analysis of actuals vs. forecast with senior business partner level commentary highlighting any Risk/Opportunity.
- Review opportunities to improve and drive efficiencies across planning and reporting processes, including implementing new systems where appropriate.
- Lead a team of 3 dedicated analysts, nurturing their development and managing their performance.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Outstanding business partnering skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels; confident leading meetings/calls, providing challenge to colleagues and managing workload.
- Knowledge around FP&A processes, accounting principles, and finance operations (SAP focused).
- Highly organised with exceptional time management and prioritisation skills.
- An ability to manage a complex and varied workload to tight deadlines is required.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills (must be CIMA, ACCA or ACA finalist).
- Using this knowledge and experience to make management decisions and judgement for the benefit of the business.
- Strategic skills; able to identify and challenge areas of improvement in cost management or forecasting processes.
