We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Risk and Compliance Lead to drive the development, embedding, and continuous improvement of our risk and compliance frameworks across FS&P. This is a pivotal role that will shape how we manage risk, uphold regulatory standards, and support our leadership team in navigating a fast-paced, evolving environment.

What you’ll do
- Leading the Risk & Compliance programme for the FS&P Team at M&S.
- Developing and maintaining relevant Risk Management Policies, Standards, Procedures and governance materials.
- Supporting the FS&P Leadership Team to strengthen their ownership and management of Processes, Risks and Controls in a fast-moving environment.
- Supporting and challenging the FS&P Leadership Team in maintaining the FS&P Risk Register, ensuring timely updates are made as risks emerge and evolve.
- Leading the FS&P Risk Management Committee and providing timely and relevant information and reports to the M&S Board, Audit & Risk Committee and other governance forums
Who you are
- Over five years of experience working in a regulated Financial Services Risk Management function.
- Holding relevant Risk Management qualifications or accreditations.
- Experience of working with products and services related to Credit Cards; Travel Money; Insurance (e.g. Home, Motor, Travel and Pet); or Payments (e.g. VISA, MasterCard, AMEX or Buy Now Pay Later).
- Experience of working with Third Party Partnerships / Strategic Suppliers;
- Experience of working within a Food / Fashion / Home / Beauty retail setting is desired but not essential.
