We’re reshaping our Food business to broaden its appeal, protecting the magic our customers love while modernising everything else. That means outstanding quality, high sourcing standards, and market‑leading innovation remain at our core, while we transform our supply chains, improve our stores, and deliver better value.

We’re looking for a Project Insights & Automation Lead to drive smarter, insight‑led decision making across our M&S Foods project delivery teams. This role is all about building clear, trusted reporting and automating ways of working – moving the team away from manual, reactive reporting towards forward‑looking insights that really shape decisions.

You’ll design and own Power BI dashboards that bring together data from multiple systems, automate processes using PowerApps and Power Automate, and explore how AI can be used to improve productivity and reporting quality. Acting as a bridge between data, systems and delivery teams, you’ll turn complex information into simple, leadership‑ready insights that help the business focus on what matters most.

Due to high interest, this role may close earlier than advertised. We recommend applying as soon as possible.

What you’ll do

  • Build and own Power BI dashboards that provide clear, accurate and forward‑looking visibility of delivery, risks and performance
  • Translate complex data into simple, insight‑led outputs that support decision‑making rather than just reporting
  • Identify and automate manual processes using PowerApps and Power Automate to reduce admin and improve efficiency
  • Work closely with project managers and partners to understand challenges and design practical, user‑friendly solutions
  • Lead the use of AI tools to streamline reporting, summarise project status and improve team productivity

Who you are

  • Demonstrable experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards and working with data models
  • Experience using PowerApps and Power Automate to improve processes and ways of working
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify meaningful, commercially relevant insights
  • Confident simplifying complex information into clear, concise, leadership‑ready outputs
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused, with strong partner skills and a curiosity for using new tools, including AI

What’s in it for you?

Working at M&S means being part of something bigger – delivering quality, value and service to millions of customers every day. In return, you’ll receive:

  • 20% colleague discount on M&S products and selected third‑party brands
  • Competitive holiday allowance with the option to buy more
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Strong pension and life assurance
  • Tailored induction and ongoing development
  • Family‑friendly policies and wellbeing support
  • One paid volunteering day per year
