As we turbocharge M&S.com we need to build on our latest fulfilment capability to enable us to introduce new product categories and reach the scale of our growth ambitions for our online business. You will play a key role in the delivery of a complex, business wide change programme known as Dropship – a method whereby a brand we partner with will pick, pack and dispatch their product on M&S’s behalf. You will work closely with various workstream owners across the business to ensure the overall programme outcomes are landed successfully.
To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected. Please note this role is a 12 month maternity cover.

What you’ll do
You will be experienced in landing transformational change programmes in a Retail Ecommerce environment. You will be proficient in various project management approaches, but more importantly you will be hands on and able to apply the theory in a practical and pragmatic way to deliver business results.
- Project management of numerous initiatives within the overall Dropship programme.
- Provide support and challenge to work-stream owners.
- Accountable for ensuring there are effective controls and plans in place for workstream deliverables.
- Provide appropriate governance for workstreams, feeding into overall programme governance approach.
- React to changing business needs, prioritising activities and troubleshoot to resolve issues.
- Ensure stakeholders are fully engaged, understand their role and have clarity of the plan including timescales for delivery.
- Feed into communications and engagement with wider business areas to ensure programme is well understood and supported.
Who you are
- Demonstrable knowledge of agile, product, project, programme and change methodologies.
- Proven track record in project delivery roles.
- Experience working in an eCommerce retail environment with knowledge of the eCommerce market and trends.
- Exceptional Stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end retail business, understanding the pressures and incentives that drive different parts of the business.
- Aptitude for and strong experience of managing successful large or complex programmes/projects through the full development lifecycle.
- Ability to think logically, analyse situations and problem solve to keep initiatives on track.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with people in a wide variety of roles, dealing with difficult issues or conflict in a collaborative way.
- Ability to work under pressure and successfully prioritise and make trade-offs, with strong attention to detail and quality of output.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular focus on PowerPoint and Excel.
